The subject item is a Rainbow Loom set, described as having arrived in a box of disproportionate size relative to its contents.

The item itself—a plastic loom, a collection of tiny rubber bands in spectral order, and two small hooks resembling dental tools—occupied a volume approximately that of a standard lunchbox.

The remainder of the carton was filled with air and cellulose-based packing fillers.

No functional purpose could be assigned to the excess container volume.

One might interpret this as an error in logistics, or perhaps an expression of hope that the object inside might one day grow into its housing.

The hooks, in particular, invite speculation: they are designed for looping and threading, yet their resemblance to instruments of oral hygiene suggests a deeper, unfulfilled utility.

The rubber bands are numerous but individually fragile, much like the bureaucratic systems that catalogue them.

This addendum serves to note that the Rainbow Loom set, as of this filing, has not been used.

It sits in its oversized box, waiting.
