ITEM UNDER REVIEW: SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Departmental Assessment Report 2026-451: SCHOOL SUPPLIES

MURCHISON, KEN: Monthly expenses are outpacing revenue by approximately twelve percent. I have calculated that school supplies represents both a cost and an opportunity.
BOLDO: That is two things.
MURCHISON, KEN: A single item can represent multiple concepts.
BOLDO: That seems inefficient.

MURCHISON, KEN: Today's assigned item is SCHOOL SUPPLIES. I expect everyone to treat they with the seriousness it deserves.

A Departmental Assessment Report has been filed for those requiring details.

BOLDO: I would like to formally request school supplies for the office.
MURCHISON, KEN: We have an adequate supply.
BOLDO: That supply is spoken for.
MURCHISON, KEN: By whom.
BOLDO: By me. I am allocating them.
MURCHISON, KEN: On what authority.
BOLDO: The authority of needing school supplies.

MEREDITH: Is school supplies like the thing that does the other thing.
MURCHISON, KEN: Which other thing.
MEREDITH: The one that everybody talks about.
MURCHISON, KEN: That describes everything.
MEREDITH: Then yes.
BOLDO: I have the same question.
MURCHISON, KEN: You do not even know what we are discussing.

MURCHISON, KEN: Let us circle back to the school supplies.
PATTERSON, KAREN: We never left it.
MURCHISON, KEN: We were discussing parking.
PATTERSON, KAREN: Parking near places that sell school supplies are relevant.
MURCHISON, KEN: That is a stretch.
PATTERSON, KAREN: It is a short stretch.
MURCHISON, KEN: The short stretches add up.
PATTERSON, KAREN: They add up to a complete picture.

BOLDO: The school supplies outranking all other items today.
MURCHISON, KEN: Outranking is not a word.
BOLDO: It is now. I just used it.
MURCHISON, KEN: That is not how vocabulary works.
BOLDO: The school supplies and I have an understanding.
MURCHISON, KEN: What understanding.
BOLDO: They do not bother me. I do not bother them.
MURCHISON, KEN: That is mutual indifference.

PATTERSON, KAREN: The school supplies reminds me of my aunt's cottage. She had several on the porch.
MURCHISON, KEN: Everyone's aunt appears to have had them.
PATTERSON, KAREN: Nobody had them like my aunt. She monogrammed hers.
BOLDO: Monograms improve value.
MURCHISON, KEN: They do not.

ONE MORE THING

PATTERSON, KAREN: Has anyone considered that the school supplies might represent something larger.
MURCHISON, KEN: They represent a requisition that nobody approved.
PATTERSON, KAREN: Everything represents something larger, Ken.

MARTIN: BUILDING WILL CONTINUE TO HOLD SCHOOL SUPPLIES. THIS IS NOT A STORAGE DECISION.
