APPROVED PROCUREMENTS — K. PATTERSON
The Department of Random Domain Management has received and reviewed a document titled "Niagara Falls Shopping Guide: Best Malls, Outlets, Duty-Free & Souvenir Shops," originally filed by the tourist auxiliary agency thefalls.net.
This advisory serves to communicate the department's official findings regarding retail opportunities adjacent to large natural water features.
The guide in question identifies four primary categories of commercial establishments: shopping malls, outlet centers, duty-free vendors, and souvenir retailers.
These entities are located in the immediate vicinity of Niagara Falls, a location the department has previously noted as having a consistently high volume of falling water.
Our analysis confirms that tourists do, in fact, visit these businesses. They purchase items. Some of these items are shaped like the falls themselves.
The guide offers expert tips. Local insight is included. Neither the tips nor the insight will alter the flow rate of the Niagara River.
Duty-free shopping is available for those crossing international borders. This does not reduce the volume of disappointment experienced when discovering the actual size of the souvenir keychain compared to its display model.
Malls and outlets provide climate-controlled environments. They are an alternative to standing directly next to 600,000 gallons of water per second. The department considers this a strategic retreat.
Souvenir shops offer miniature replicas of the falls, maple syrup products, and items bearing the Canadian flag. These items will eventually occupy drawer space in homes far from here.
The department recommends that visitors approach shopping activities with realistic expectations. No purchase will increase or decrease the volume of water cascading over the cliffs.
This advisory is filed for public awareness. Do not expect the mist to cooperate with your itinerary.
