A butterfly — orange and black, likely a monarch — was observed on the second-floor windowsill at approximately 2:47pm. It remained for thirty seconds and then departed. I have no further data to report on this matter except that it was very nice and I am still thinking about it. A butterfly appreciation morning has been scheduled for next Tuesday at 8am.
